I enjoyed watching the 2012 Olympics while I sewed on the binding. The machine quilting was done with the walking foot. The Norman Rockwell panel was pieced into the back to allow enough width and I was happy with how it added some excitement to the back of the quilt.
While I was reading through several different quilting blogs, I came across a link to Phoenix Quilts (aka Operation Wood Hollow). Julie Anderson of Utah, started a wonderful ministry for the 2012 fire victims. She is collecting quilts, quilt tops, blocks and batting to be used to complete quilts which will then be delivered to those who lost their homes. So, this quilt is being mailed out to Julie tomorrow.
