I started out with 9 rectangles of fabric that I just loved. I have added more strips since last week but the quilt has a ways to go. It has been difficult to create 9 blocks with many different blue fabrics in different shades and accept that they all go together.

Most of my time this past week has been spent sorting, ironing, and cutting blue scraps from 2 bins. I have it narrowed down to one bin with lots of squares and strips cut for future projects. I continue to find little bags of scraps stashed here and there. It's only 20 yrs. worth of scraps to sort and cut. So far, I am happy with the results of the cutting project but I have many more scraps to cut in an assortment of colors.

ReplyDeleteMonochromatic quilts/blocks are super fun to look at. Seeing your blocks gets me antsy to play with more and more layouts, but... LOL, there are already enough projects in various stages around the sewing room!
And yes.... they "go together." :)
