Design Wall Monday

As I was looking for another project, I discovered a stack of  fabric pieces of a rabbit sitting and posing on different colored balloons.  Four blocks measuring 8.5" square had already been completed and posted on my Blog on DWM March 9th, 2015.  Yes, an entire year ago.  These were from my Sewing Group and I must admit, I'm a little embarrassed that I let an entire year go by without finishing this quilt top.

So, yesterday I got busy and starting sewing different fabric strips around the rabbit fabric pieces.  I had to keep digging through the scraps trying to find fabrics that were bright that a child would enjoy.  Needless to say, now I have a bigger mess.  Our Project Linus Day is coming up in mid May, so we are trying to get as many tops completed and ready for sandwiching with batting during the month of April, so we can sew them up in May.

Here's a couple of pictures.....  On the left, 4 blocks began in March 2015

10 blocks complete at top and others in process

Today is a beautiful spring day and quite warm at 80 degrees with flowers blooming and nice blue sky.
Here are a couple pictures of the pansies I discovered on the town square.
