Design Wall Monday

Two weeks ago, at our local Sewing Group, we began making large sized bibs for a local nursing home.  At least 20 large to medium bath towels were donated to our group, to be cut down to size.  Pat kept the original sample pattern to be used for cutting all the remaining towels.  Three inch strips, folded in half were cut from different bright fabrics to be used for binding on the bibs.  Elastic and buttons will be used for connecting the shoulder pieces around the neckline.  Next, came the creative part.  Each front bib was designed with appliques for jazzing up the fronts of the bibs and some were quite elaborate.
