Crayon Challenge at Guild

One of our Guild members organized a Crayon Challenge with the small quilts to be shown and judged by our members at our September meeting, yesterday.  There were 36 crayons in the bag from which to draw.  25 quilts were created and brought in yesterday for judging.  What a delightful group of quilts!  They were all so different and creative.  I'm only showing mine at this time, since I'll need to get permission from the other members to post their quilts.  The quilts that won were stunning!!  My little lady didn't win but that's O.K.  It was a good exercise in making a portrait picture of a 1920's flapper.  The style reminded me of my mother, since she was in her mid 20's during this time period.  She would never have worn a bright yellow hat, even though my Dad loved the color yellow.  So here she is.......
