365 Quilty Circles & Design Wall Monday

I've been working on my 365 Quilty Circles all afternoon to try and get them caught up for Aug. and Sept.  Just now, I have accomplished my goal.  On Sat., Aug. 27th, I wondered what to write, so I checked the web and discovered that Aug. 27th was day #240 of this year, with 126 days to go until Dec. 31st, 2016.  Now, for a picture of the 365 Quilty Circles for the 2nd half of 2016.  One huge quilt would have been too cumbersome.
So, I chose to make:
Quilt top#1 :  Complete:  01-01-2016 through 06-28-2016

Quilt top#2:   06-29-2016 through 12-31-2016

Quilty Circles Top#2    06/29/2016 to 09/04/2016

    1. Thank you. When I discovered the Quilty Folk Blog, I noticed Cathy's circles on Sane, Crazy, Crumbly Quilting Blog and liked how she was making hers, so I chose to do it that way also. It makes a great year long journal.

    1. Pam, you are correct about the massive number of greens and lavenders. Lilacs are my favorite plant. I grew up in the country on about two acres and my mother grew beautiful flowers.

  3. What an interesting project you've made out of Quilty 365!! I was surprised to see that you transformed it into an actual diary, complete with written entries on your squares.

    1. This is the first time in my life to have accomplished a daily journal and since I've gotten this far, I plan to complete the year. It would have been great to have a different fabric on each HST & Circle but I'd still be hunting in the fabric bins. Cathy at Sane, Crazy, and Crumbly Quilt Blog gave me the idea. You can't write too much due to not enough room on the little block.

    1. Thank you Rhonda for your comment. I took the top to my Quilt Guild on Saturday and several people enjoyed reading the notes of what happened each day.

    1. Thank you Audrey for challenging all of us with this fantastic year-long project. Love how it didn't matter what day you began or chose to end. The design possibilities and fabric choices are endless.
Best project that I have made in quite some time.

    1. Thank you Babcia for your comment. Actually, I'm making two quilts. The first top was for the first half of the year and the 2nd quilt is from June 29th until the end of 2016. Just one quilt would have been too large & cumbersome to handle. Each quilt will be 48" x 60".
