Design Wall Monday

Amazingly, it is still Monday and I'm posting my quilt picture tonight.  I am progressing on my scrappy pink quilt for February.
I love the bright pink narrow 2 inch border I chose.  When I made the stars for this quilt, I kept all the left over triangles and made (48) 2" pinwheels.  I plan to applique an ice cream cone in each block that separates the pinwheel blocks.  Here is what I have so far....

  1. Love the idea of using up those small scrap pieces!

  2. Thank you for your comment. I'm glad I gave it a try. Normally, I would have thrown all those small triangles away. Hopefully, I have enough ice cream cones left to applique onto the white squares for the borders.
