HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016

When I was in grade school, the year 2016 was in another lifetime.  Who even heard of a "Blog"?  Well, here I am, telling "my faithful readers" about my goals of finishing my quilting projects and possibly getting my sewing room in some type of order, so that I could show you a picture. LOL

I have set a lofty goal of making at least (2) quilt tops per week, for those in need with the hopes of getting my largest tub of panels and fabric pieces used.  Every time, I ventured out to R.J.'s workshop in the country, I found the cutest panels in her stash and so she sent them home with me.  Well now, the lid on the tub will not stay closed.

2016 Year Long Memory Quilt

While going through 20 years of Guild Newsletters, looking for information regarding my UFO's that needed labels, I discovered this intriguing idea presented several years ago by one of our members.
I changed the year to 2016 and since this is the first day of 2016, I thought I'd give it a try.

Here’s a project that you may like to do.

Start with a piece of fabric 9 1/2" wide. (Height is up to you)

Add one more piece each day all year.

You put blocks in, photos or anything that strikes your fancy.
Cut them all the same, or cut them crooked, skinny, wide, etc.

It is your memory quilt, so have fun.    Let’s see what you have created by year-end.
